Holding Moses, for which I served as cinematographer, was one of 15 films shortlisted in the Documentary Short Film category for the 95th Academy Awards. This year, 98 films qualified in the category, and five will eventually receive nominations.
Described by Deadline as “an intimate, remarkably candid journey that features stunning visuals,” Holding Moses tells the story of a dancer named Randi as she learns to connect with her son, who has a rare genetic disorder. The 17-minute film is available to stream on The New Yorker.
